Rachel Hatheway
Field School Teacher
Rachel is excited to be joining the Merrohawke teaching team this spring! She has earned a degree in Anthropology and Education from Colby College, where she was also captain of the Woodsmen team. Rachel is a certified social studies teacher for grades 6-12, and holds a Wilderness First Responder certification. Her experiences participating in and guiding canoe trips in the Ontario wilderness over the past twelve years have taught her the importance of nature, curiosity, and exploration for young people. This passion for outdoor education led her to Merrohawke. In her free time, Rachel enjoys knitting, going on long walks with her dog, and cooking.
