Kim Smith
Forest Kindergarten Teacher
Kim is passionate about childhood development and the outdoors and is now blending her love for both into her professional journey. She graduated from Keene State College with a major in History and a minor in Secondary Education, where she focused many classes on early education. After gaining 10+ years of experience in the corporate world, facilitating adult training and education, Kim was able to transition to her true calling in outdoor education. Her childhood was spent on farms and exploring the forests and fields , where she feels children thrive the most. This led her to Merrohawke, where she has shared her passion for nature with others since joining our staff in 2022. Certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED, Kim leads our Dragonflies program in summer and brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her work. Outside of her career, Kim enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time with her two new nieces, and relaxing at the beach with her dog.
